The Dynafiber RDM Carbon Inox Extension is a high-performance, mid-to-high-end extension that combines the lightweight benefits of a carbon tube with the corrosion-resistant durability of stainless steel (Inox) hardware.

In the 2025/2026 market, it is often seen as the primary rival to the Streamlined V8, offering similar reliability but at a slightly more competitive price point.

1. Key Features

• Carbon Tube: Constructed from high-modulus carbon fiber. This significantly reduces the "swing weight" of your rig and provides extreme stiffness, preventing the extension from bowing under the high downhaul loads of race or wave sails.

• Stainless Steel (Inox) Base: The pulley block and the release button mechanism are made from cast stainless steel. This is superior to plastic or aluminum bases as it is essentially immune to saltwater corrosion and mechanical wear.

• Standard "EU" Euro Pin: Features the universal pin connection, making it 100% compatible with your Dynafiber Urethan/Boge bases or any standard Euro Pin mast foot.

• Dyneeema/Formuline Rope: Usually comes pre-threaded with high-quality 3.8mm or 4mm Dyneema (often Marlow Formuline), which is essential for friction-free downhauling.

Dynafiber offers a standard aluminum/plastic extension, but the Carbon Inox is the "buy it once" version.

• The Button: Plastic release buttons can become brittle or jam with sand. The Inox button is heavy-duty and stays smooth for years.

• Weight vs. Strength: While the aluminum Inox version is also very strong, the Carbon version saves roughly 150–200g, which you will feel immediately during transitions and when uphauling.
